What to Expect

You’ve booked your session, now what?

Outfits & Planning.  You’re probably thinking,, “Oh, Lord – help!” // Don’t worry, Babes! I’m here for  you.  Let’s get to workin’!

I have a horde of studio pieces available for you and your littles, and know of even more resources to help you plan. Like these two:

Portrait Prep Guide {Created by Yours, truly}

SBP What-To-Wear Guide {Created by the ever-talented Sara-Beth Photography}

“I fall in love with people’s passion; the way their eyes light up… talk[ing] about the thing they love & the way they fill with light.” -Unknown

I spend the first 15minutes or so chatting about goals, lighting, how I shoot, preparing you for my excited sighs and mumbled exclamations. If children are part of the session, I invite them to check out my camera and equipment, and throughout the session I ask that they help me take some pictures.  I want everyone to have fun, for the experience to be relaxing, full of laughs, and natural.  Simple posing with a heavy focus on “togetherness” is what I’m all about.  Loving, holding, and enjoying each other is what it’s all about.  I don’t generally put a time limit on sessions, as I work with natural light there’s an obvious expiration, but typically you can expect for us to spend an hour or two together.

I highly encourage you to bring your personal camera, and to take all of the behind the scenes {#BTS} snapshots you’d like! If you do, I’d love to see them, make sure to hashtag #rebeccapinkhamphotography on Instagram, or post them to my Facebook wall!  I am happy to have you snap a few shots of your kiddos or girlfriend rocking their smiles, all I ask is that you remember that I’m there to do a job, and need to make strong (uninterrupted) connections to get the best possible photographs. 🙂

I love adventuring for new locations.  Fields, trees, rivers, lakes, old buildings, city skyscrapers, beaches, and anything outdoors speaks to my heart and stirs up a lot of creativity as the options are endless! It’s important for us to chat about the feel you want for your images so we can brainstorm together.  I prefer to shoot families and a majority of portraits outdoors, but Newborn & Boudoir Sittings can be shot indoors, mornings through midday.

Rescheduling is a last resort deal for me.  If someone is sick, however, let me know as soon as possible so that we can work it out. I do NOT reschedule for clouds, but rain and heavy snow is a no go.  Weather reports can’t always be trusted, so unless you hear otherwise from me, our session is still on.

Most sessions have a completion time frame of 3 weeks, however weddings can take up to 8. Previews are posted via social media avenues {Facebook} {Instagram} for you to enjoy.  Once the images have been finalized, I would love for us to get together for your Reveal!  It is then that I’ll show you all of your finalized images, and give you a chance to go through different wall prints, canvases, and leather-bound album options.  It gives me an immense amount of pride to see you leave with prints in your hand, ready to frame or wrap for gifts to loved ones!

Within 24 hours of your Reveal, I will have all of the images uploaded to the Client Galleries page, where you can share the images with family and friends, should you wish to do so. When Grandma, your best friend, or your smitten Husband sees the images, and wishes to purchase prints, albums, canvases, or even full-resolution digital copies, they can easily do so through the gallery.  Any purchased images or products will not be watermarked or carry the RPP logo.  You will have access to the gallery for 90 days.  (After the 60 days has expired, should you wish to place an order, the gallery will be reset with a $35 expiration fee.)

The number of photographs vary by the type of sitting you’ve booked, but will include full-resolution digital copies {with the exception of boudoir clients}.

Please note: you, and you alone will have personal printing rights.  This does not give you ownership of the images, it grants you the licensing to print copies of the images for yourself, or as gifts. In your print release, you’ll see that you are able to print at professional print labs such as MPix.  However, I do not grant printing licensing to over-the-counter kiosks such as Wal-mart or CVS as the colors and clarity become completely botched, and the thought of them displayed physically pains me.
